Exposure triangle

Enter a correct exposure, pick which setting you want to change, and get the matching value for the third one. The EV tells you how bright the scene is.

How it works

EV = log2(f-number² ÷ shutter time), at ISO 100. One EV is one stop: twice or half the light.

Each setting does more than brightness: aperture changes depth of field, shutter speed freezes or blurs motion, ISO adds noise.
