The old rule says one over the focal length. Modern cameras change that: high resolution shows more shake, stabilisation buys stops back. This works it out for your setup.
Start: 1 ÷ (focal length × crop factor). Above 24 megapixels the time is shortened to keep pixel-level sharpness; each stop of stabilisation doubles it again.
Moving subjects are a different matter: stabilisation does not freeze a running child. For people, keep 1/125 s or faster.
How much is sharp: near and far limits, hyperfocal distance and how blurred the background gets.
Field of viewSee what a focal length takes in on your sensor, drawn on a scene, with the angle of view.
Crop factor & equivalenceFull-frame equivalent focal length and aperture for every sensor size, both ways.
Diffraction limitFrom which f-number stopping down starts to soften your camera's pixels.
